Representative Water Projects

South Truckee Meadows Water Facility Plan - Washoe County, Nevada

ECO:LOGIC was hired by the Washoe County Regional Water Planning Commission and the South Truckee Meadows General Improvement District to prepare a water resource/water and wastewater facility plan for the South Truckee Meadows area. The water resource/facility plan provided a detailed assessment of the available water resources, including wholesale water supplies from Truckee Meadows Water Authority, existing groundwater resources, and possible development of the creeks for water supply purposes.

Nevada Irrigation District - Lincoln Area Water Treatment Plant Siting Study - Placer County, California

The study involved the siting of a water treatment plant in Western Placer County to serve portions of the City of Lincoln and unincorporated areas within Placer County. Design criteria for the new treatment plant were determined and used to screen potential sites, and included process type, solids handling, raw and finished water storage, etc. A total of 13 potential sites were identified during the initial screening and reduced down to five sites, which are being evaluated and compared in detail, including estimation of project costs, constructability, and environmental analysis factors.

North Tahoe Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project - North Lake Tahoe, California

ECO:LOGIC was hired by the North Tahoe Public Utility District (District) to assist the District in planning, permitting, and preliminary design of an ultraviolet disinfection system to be considered as the primary disinfectant on a Lake Tahoe potable water supply in California. Following several months of discussion and review of data, the District obtained filtration avoidance from Department of Health Services and approval to design and construct the first ultraviolet disinfection system for potable water use in the State of California. ECO:LOGIC completed the permitting and final design of the treatment facility in less than three months.
