The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is the state's environmental impact disclosure law. Promulgated in 1970, the law requires lead agencies (cities and county governments, special districts, etc) that have discretionary authority of public and private development projects to disclose the environmental impacts from various projects. ECO:LOGIC specializes in CEQA compliance, which provides information on the proposed project to the general public and numerous state permitting agencies, discloses potential environmental impacts associated with the project and any mitigation measures required by the lead agency to avoid, or reduce impacts. CEQA requires that lead agencies consider alternatives to the project and that the governing body certify that the documents meet disclosure requirements. ECO:LOGIC recognizes that CEQA compliance is an important step in the development process in California and puts a strong emphasis on considering environmental issues in the project planning phase for each of our clients.
